CommentsToronto ON, July 8, 2013. A thunderstorm that produced 126 mm in precipitation caused flash-flooding in the Greater Toronto area. The flooding closed multiple transportation corridors, caused wide-spread property damage, and disrupted power to approximately 300,000 residents. The Insurance Bureau of Canada estimated that the flooding caused $940 million in insured property damage.
