CommentsGreater Vancouver BC, December 24-29, 1998. A snowstorm dropped 30 cm of snow on Greater Vancouver. Winds gusted up to 80 km/h. Accidents occurred along most major roads creating major delays, and ploughs were called in from outside communities to assist. A water main burst due to freezing and caused the evacuation of 10 homes for several hours. The storm lasted until December 29 causing 2 deaths in the Okanagan, and 2 injuries in Vancouver.
