Snowmelt, ice jams and heavy rainfall caused flooding in New Brunswick; a series of ice jams in six rivers caused the destruction of 32 bridges and caused the damage of 124 other bridges. Extensive damage was done to private homes, farmsteads, farm equipment, fishing gear, industrial and commercial companies. Over 600 properties were damaged. One person died when a barn collapsed, and two others drowned. |
