A fire burning southeast of Timmins burned hydro wires which left the town of Foleyet without power for one day; people were evacuated from approximately 750 homes in the Westin Lake, Watabeag Lake (south of Iroquois Falls), Sesekinika and Kenogami (west of Kirkland Lake) areas; 73 people from the Wahgoshig First Nation were evacuated to Timmins. |
