| Comments | Salmon Arm BC, August 10-17, 1998. A State of Emergency was declared by the Premier on Aug.10 for the Salmon Arm-Fly Hills Fire, it was cancelled on Aug.17. The fire covered 6300 hectares and destroyed 20 houses and 15 farm buildings. An inquiry was called in October 1998 to determine whether the BC Forest Service had problems handling the fire. |
