Winds gusting at 50 to 60 km/h aided the spread of fires (around 48 in total), mostly in grasses and brush. This specific fire was first spotted around the Bittern Lake area and was moving north towards the eastern part of the community of Montreal Lake. Approximately 130 evacuees from this community and the Montreal Lake Cree Nation were moved to Prince Albert. |
